blood

My mother sent me a text message on Sunday evening – in itself a notable, almost bloggable occurence. It's possible that she sent it purely to give me something to write about today. Anyway, it said simply “Do you know your blood group?” Thinking that someone in the family might need a tranfusion, or there was some fierce paternity battle suddenly raging in the West Dunstable area, I called home. “No, I don't know my blood group.” “No, nor does your father. Nor do I, although I think I'm rhesus negative.” “OK then, bye.” “Bye.”

The evening continued in a suitably strange fashion. My iTunes playlist informs me that between 1.45am and 2.15am I must have downloaded and listened to not only “The Boys Of Summer” by Don Henley, but also that “Maniac” song from Flashdance.

I'm confused by the adverts on the tube which state that you don't have to be a “Fresh Virgin” to use Easymobile. What on earth does this mean? Is it just Stelios employing confused and useless copywriters, or is there some hidden meaning behind it?
