I love Geoff Boycott's tendency to talk about 'fancying' cricketers during his commentary. He just means that he likes the way they bat, or bowl, and is completely unaware of the double entendre. “I fancy Andrew Flintoff,” he said on the last day at Old Trafford, while Michael Atherton stifled giggles. “I really, really fancy him.” He's still doing it in this Test match, and I'm glad his fellow commentators haven't alerted him to the joke. It tends to lighten up intense periods of play.
