• The Free French tout their current single “Fireman” (described by Steve Lamacq as “Fireman, by The Free French”) and attempt to convince London that Hall & Oates are due for a revival
• Stuffy/The Fuses celebrate a brace of John Peel plays, the glory of their “Join Me Or Die” album, and the fact that they can sound like a cross between Shellac and Abba while having a drumming front man.
• The Knockouts, Luton's hardest working guitar and maracas combo, take a trip down the M1 in a battered Ford Zephyr.
• Discs spun until 2am with 2 Bad Sisters, aka Clare James Clare and Val (Pop Klinik).
