Alright? I'm the technology columnist for The Independent, and have written stuff for The Observer, the Radio Times, The Guardian, Olive, Zeppotron and many others, on subjects as scintillating as crumpets, Morrissey and data centres. I've written a book about wasting time on the internet called
FWD This Link, and another called
The Next Big Thing which is a history of things that seemed like a good idea at the time. I sometimes go on the radio, too.
I've been in so many terrible bands I've lost count, but these days I play with
Scritti Politti,
Gentlemen's Agreement,
Keith John Adams and occasionally
Frank Sidebottom. There's more information about me
here. Sorry about that.
