I've been listening to “What's Going On” almost constantly for the last
couple of weeks. This means, implicitly, that I've been hearing a grown man
uttering impassioned pleas for us to “save the babies”, without any adverse
reactions whatsoever. Impressive, huh?

I ditched my CD-R copy, and bought the deluxe double CD version this week.
CD2 contains a live performance from 1972, his first for 4 years. After
about half an hour, they play the whole of the extended anti-Nam soul
workout that makes up side 1 of the album, with the crowd going nuts. It's
stunning. Jenny has advised me to listen to Gryff, Mel and Kim's version of

“Rockin' Around The Christmas Tree” to try and rebalance.

I'm going to an engagement party tonight, I've never been to one before. I'm
not sure what to take, how to dress, and how to behave. Perhaps

or

b) provocatively
c) badly.
