Winding our way down to Highgate tube on the 134 bus, a rosy cheeked youth
in sensible jeans and trainers was leaning up against a garden wall, sipping
on a bottle of Volvic. “That's Tony Hadley's son,” said Jenny. “Really?” I
replied. I thought for a bit. Tony Hadley's son isn't a star in his own
right (yet.) I certainly didn't recognise him, although if he'd been wearing
a crisp white shirt and a thin tie while mouthing the words to
“Musclebound”, I might have got the hint. I asked Jenny how she knew. “Oh,
I've seen them out as a family before.” Aaah. It's heartwarming to think of
yesterday's popstars becoming todays visitors to garden centres & stately
homes. I'd love to see Martin Degville at Luton Hoo, for instance.
