this was a thrilling evening

I dug out the cassette of Peel interviewing me on local radio as a dull, uninteresting 17 year old boy about my “Glottal Stop” fanzine. I'd spoken to him fairly regularly on the phone as I used to call the “Mayophone” that was on his desk while he presented his Radio 1 show, to advise him of bands that he liked that were splitting up left, right and centre. But neverthless I was quaking. It was excruciating.

This is edited heavily to spare me even more blushes than I'm currently experiencing, ha.

“Phone up at any time you like.”

Thanks, John.
