After watching England crumble against South Africa, I put on a video of them beating South Africa in Johannesburg 3 years ago. Felt better. Then went to Muswell Hill, and walked the following route:
Muswell Hill – Crouch End – Crouch Hill – across the Archway bridge – Highgate High St – Hampstead Lane – Spaniards Road – Hampstead.
Took ages.
En route I bumped into TIm Maple. I used to go to college with him, and his dad was a teacher at my school. I performed barely adequate versions of Pete & Dud musical comedy skits with his dad at 6th form revues.
Anyway, Tim's current job is playing piano for the rehearsals of the poor sods currently attempting to get into Fame Academy, which is just round the corner from where we were walking. I couldn't engage him in any discussion about the show because I've never seen it. And if it were on, I wouldn't even be watching from behind the sofa, I'd be watching from behind the North Sea.
Although having said that you can probably get it on satellite in Norway. I'm too tired to think of anything better. Night.
