you, ta

I had a woefully bad night's sleep. There's a bird in the Muswell Hill area of town whose morning song sounds annoyingly like the ringing of a Nokia mobile phone. Fortunately it doesn't sound like my own ringtone, otherwise I'd be in and out of bed in a heightened state of confusion, shouting “Hello? Hello?” into the ether. But nevertheless, it was still hard to sleep through. “Oh, you bastard,” muttered Jenny at about 5.15am. I guess she was referring to the bird.

Eventually I dreamt that I was on a road trip across Utah with an exceedingly fat man in the driving seat. We stopped everywhere we could and ate everything. I awoke feeling exceedingly bloated, while a fat man sat in a driving seat somewhere in Utah, presumably. Sadly I'll never know his name.

Well, our album came out yesterday, and we're in with a bullet at number 40,066. I think that when MTV do their album chart rundown, they only really concentrate on the first 40,000, so we've narrowly missed out (again). Let's hope the competition is a little less stiff next week. Approximately 67 less stiff.

Good. On with the day. Oh, this might possibly be the last plug for our gig with Momus tomorrow:
